When listening to Crow Moses (formerly Musikanto), one may recognize some Bluesy American Folk in an orchestral experience. Leaky Sync was first drawn to Musikanto, after listening to track title ‘Awful Mind’ that provided a vivid picture of expressive narratives. The same feeling was met when listening to his new release, Horse Heaven Hills.
The record was produced by legendary alt-country trailblazer Gary Louris of The Jayhawks, who didn’t leave an once of hard rocking Americana and lonesome folk harmonies behind. “Half the songs were written on the road and half were written in the studio, I like the pressure,” Moses states.
We’ve curated the album that features a few songs to get warmed up to…perhaps next to a bon-fire.
