Filthy Kitsch is a psychpop project out of Stockholm, Sweden that serves as a solo outlet for multi-instrumentalist Joe Shackleton. The first single and video Comet Tails premiered on Obscure Sound in January 2018 and quickly gained rave reviews in the blogosphere. Melding retro-modern indietronica with memorable melodies and deeply personal lyrics, the debut EP One is both intimate and expansive. Alongside collaborations with other musicians and visual artists, Shackleton is currently hard at work/play developing the Filthy Kitsch sound, with more releases to follow this year.
