A field recording project recorded and produced by John Matarazzo of Logical Drift comprised of a live performance by the 47 Monks and students of the Dip Tse Chok Ling Monastery in Dharmasala, India> Each song is sung in monophonic chant and is believed to emanate from those who have achieved selfless wisdom.
The thunderous blasts from bass drum and brass horns, illuminating splashes from large cymbals and the gentle vibrations of hand-bells invoke the deities responsible for the continued unfolding of creation. Below, we’ve showcased track title ‘The Prayer of Kala Rupa’ for review.
